Cracked enamel on cast iron bath repair.
Cracked enamel on cast iron bath repair near Torquay, South-West.
When I arrived at the customer’s house, I found this bath in quite a bad state. It has lots of small imperfections and long cracks on its bottom surface.
Here are some actions I’ve taken to save this lovely bathtub:
Before proceeding with the re-enameling, I’ve cleaned the entire bath surface to remove any dirt, grime, or soap scum. Next, I repaired the chips, scratches, and other imperfections on the bath’s surface. This involved filling in chips and cracks and sanding down rough areas to create a smooth surface. Then a bonding primer is applied to the bathtub surface. This helps the new coating adhere securely to the old surface. Finally, several coatings of resin have been sprayed on including the top coat, providing the surface with exceptional smoothness and gloss and leaving the customer happy and satisfied.
