The ultimate and not so secret method for a hangover: Drink…less! :)
First and most effective remedy is to moderate the amount of alcohol that you expose your body for. Easier said than done, right?
Drinking alcoholic beverages in moderate quantities can be helpful in preventing the problem of hangover. When you drink the alcohol try to drink as much water (non % liquids) to reduce the day after symptoms.
Don’t drink on empty stomach.
To slow down the intoxication include drinking more slowly and eating food. Dishes rich of proteins, fats and carbohydrates are the one to look for. Avoid carbonated drinks and warmer drinks, both cause faster alcohol absorption.
rich in vitamin C – orange and tomato juice helps with recovery from alcohol poisoning.
Take a warm bath or shower.
…after a good party night, let your body detoxicate in a warm bath.
A hot shower or laying in a warm bathtub is also valuable to fight the symptoms of hangover efficiently. Take a hot water bath to relieve toxins out of your body. Your organism absorbs the water, rehydrating faster, but the warm can help in removing the toxins and hence helping in checking the symptoms of the hangover.
Have a cup of tea.
Having a cup of warm ginger tea can also be functional in reducing the problems caused due to hangover. If you need, take an aspirin but don’t do that before going to sleep as it may have an opposite result.
Juice rich in vitamin C as orange or tomato is a good source to reduce the symptoms of hangover. Other herbs recommended fighting the alcohol intoxication are:
– turmeric(helps liver),
– chlorella (supports detoxification),
– mint (improve clarity and concentration),
– rosemary (helps with body tiredness, great to use in the bath)
– fennel (digestive problems remedy).
